From haute couture to cricket NFTs, non-fungible tokens have been adopted by a number of industries. Recently, they have found a new application in the tourism sector as the Tourism Authority of Thailand launched Amazing Thailand NFTs. The process is simple. Tourists can download the YAKS application, scan the QR codes at kiosks in 5 major tourist attractions, and get a random NFT. Each of the 3999 NFTs in each location comes with unique offers. On collecting 3 items at 3 locations, the tourist can get discounts on air fare, accommodation, and food, among others.
